The Ministry of Finance (MoF) released his termination letter on May 26, which later went viral. The termination came after his press conference on May 25, following the tragic LRT crash on Monday. See for yourself here.
When handling questions from the press, the MP for Pasir Salak displayed a serious lack of empathy for the 213 injured victims of the horrible collision.
Out of that number, 166 suffered minor injuries while 47 were seriously injured. As of now, 3 of them are still in the ICU due to bleeding in the brain. Another three more have since been placed in red zones.

Meanwhile, Tajuddin was super unprofessional with his answers, as he stammered out some inaccurate data on the spot. His meme-worthy phrase 'only the two cars were together, they kiss each other' seemed to downplay the whole situation.
He also justified his slow response to the crash with some excuse, like having 'to take his 2nd dose of vaccination' on that day.
Here are snippets of his 'iconic' moments that triggered a nationwide public outrage!

Malaysians immediately got busy with the spark of an online petition on Change.org, titled #LetakJawatanTajuddin (#ResignTajuddin). In just 24 hours, the petition received more than 140 thousand signatures.
In response to his termination, Tajuddin told Malay Mail, "Want to terminate, terminate then. What is the issue? What is the matter? Want to terminate, terminate lah. Thank you lah. I can do other work."

Tajuddin is currently under police investigation as he is claimed to have breached Covid-19 SOPs during the press conference earlier for only wearing a face shield, and not a face mask.
Hats off to all the responsible Malaysians who did the right thing!
