It's a sad day for Louis Vuitton die-hard fans. The luxury community has received shocking news that the renowned fashion house will no longer be selling the classic Toiletry Pouches in all three sizes; the 15, 19 and 26!
The sudden discontinuation was confirmed on Purseforum and @foxylv via Instagram, as many commented that they noticed the pieces were abruptly removed from the LV website. Some even mentioned that even the LV stores no longer have these in stock, as told by their respective SAs.
One of the theories was that some consumers were converting these pouches into crossbody bags or using them as clutches (instead of their actual intended purpose), with sites like Etsy and Samorga (to name a few) selling conversion kits and straps.
As the pouches were one of LV's lower-end products, people weren't buying real bags like the Coussins and Capucines. This action apparently displeased the luxury retailer.
LV is thought to be gearing towards exclusivity, mainly targeting affluent clientele to spend bucks on pricier ready-to-wear pieces and actual bag line.
