In general, except for growing up at home and explaining ourselves to our parents, we do not owe anyone else an explanation for the things we do, the people we are, or the choices we make in life.
Nevertheless, we may at some point or another, feel like we're obliged to explain ourselves. But, don't. There is no need to offer an explanation to other people, especially with these 6 things.
1. Who you love
Who you choose to love should not even be a question in the first place. But given the offhand that it is, remember that in no world, you are required to answer or explain yourself.
2. Why the change in direction
Whether it's a career move, or a solution to a problem, you have to do what feels right to you. People may not always be okay with that, but you have to be okay with those 'not okays'.
3. How you let loose
Everyone is entitled to their own avenues of having fun and relaxing. Whichever way squeezes your lemons, there isn't a need for you to explain why you do the things you do.
4. What you prioritize
Priority is subjective. Everyone has their own set of things or people, they put first above all else. You shouldn't have to go around stating reasons for your picks.
5. When you need a timeout
Life is already so freaking hard as it is, so why make it harder by explaining to people, why you go MIA? You have every right to take a break from life, whenever and however long you need to, without answering all the 'whys'.
6. Who you cut out
Anyone who doesn't add to your happiness and peace should be left behind. A lot of times, people won't get this, but remember, your emotions, thoughts and general wellbeing, is valid. Do not let anyone else rebut that.
At the end of the day, this is your life, and what you choose to do with it, is on you and on you alone. So, do not for a second, let someone else dictate that.
