A video of two men hitting, kicking, and punching another helpless man on the ground has gone viral on Facebook, and the local police have opened an investigation into the case, which allegedly took place at a condominium in Setapak. At one point, one of the men even attempted to stab one of the victims and taunted two others as seen in the video.
Wangsa Maju District Police Chief Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah said, "In this regard, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Wangsa Maju District Police Headquarters (IPD) is conducting an investigation into the viral video in accordance with Section 323 of the Penal Code," he said in a statement.
Further investigations are currently ongoing and Ashari urges the public to come forward should they have any information regarding the incident and contact the Wangsa Maju IPD at 03-92899222 , the Kuala Lumpur Police Hotline at 03-21159999 , or any nearby police station.
