In recent news, international artist Taylor Swift caused a stir when she chose to hold a concert in Singapore instead of our own country. And now, you might be disappointed once again as the same fate befalls Post Malone's tour in Southeast Asia.
The revelation came when the American rapper himself shared on his Instagram account a glimpse of his upcoming tour across several Southeast Asian countries in 2023.
His first performance in Southeast Asia will kick off in Bangkok on September 14 and conclude in Tokyo on September 27.
Dubbed the "If Y'all Weren't Here, I'd Be Crying" tour, it seems to follow the footsteps of other international artists like Taylor Swift and Taeyeon, excluding Malaysia from their tour plans.
Undoubtedly, many local Post Malone fans will be disappointed that their favourite artist has yet to make any record of performances here. The nearest concert will only be available in Singapore so far.
It is understood that Post Malone will be performing at the Padang Stage Zone 4 on September 16, in conjunction with the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix event. Furthermore, he will be sharing the stage with other international artists such as Niki, Rich Brian, Jackson Wang, and many more to liven up this year's F1 event.
Meanwhile, some of his fans have expressed their disappointment on social media, as Malaysia once again misses the opportunity to host popular artists for their Southeast Asia tours.
After Coldplay faced severe criticism from certain local parties in the past, it seems that many popular international artists are choosing the safer route of touring neighboring countries rather than Malaysia.
