Chinese-national spectators of a football match between China and Malaysia last night demanded a refund after the 80th-ranked home side drawed 1-1 with Harimau Malaya.
The international football friendly match was held at the Phoenix Stadium in Chengdu, last night. In a video captured and shared on TikTok, supporters of the Chinese national team, disappointed with the results, had asked for a refund for their tickets.

"I don't see them having any desire to win. I don't see their spirit," said a man, clad in the Chinese team's red jersey. Many spectators behind him then began chanting: "Refund! Refund! Refund!"
Malaysians, however, threw their support behind the national team, saying Harimau Malaya was not "cap ayam" (low-quality).
X user @amirshazwan_ said the Chinese supporters looked down on the national team. "Do you think it is easy to beat Malaysia?" he questioned.
Another user @thisisdanielll said Malaysia's football team had improved since 2018. "Why are they angry? Do they think Malaysia is 'cap ayam'? Have they forgotten that Malaysia almost won against the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain?"
@atomentaro99 meanwhile said the Chinese team should have instead used members from 'Shaolin Soccer', a comedy film directed by Stephen Chow about applying superhuman martial arts skills to play football.
"Next time, use the Shaolin team then you would win," he said in jest.
Malaysia's football team is on the 136th spot in the FIFA world rankings.
