A local teenager collided with a police vehicle on Wednesday, April 10th in Melaka while fleeing from the police during an operation against illegal racing.
After fighting at the Intensive Care Unit for about 9 hours at Melaka Hospital, the boy is now reported to have passed.
In a video being circulated online, a bunch of motorcyclists were attempting to run away from the police, when the police vehicle is met with an accident and runs over a motorcyclist at an intersection at Jalan Gangsa-Kesang Road, Durian Tunggal.

The victim, Muhammad Khairul Basahri, 18, who was riding a Yamaha 135 LC motorbike, had a broken leg and thigh in addition to internal injuries, according to Melaka police chief deputy commissioner Datuk Zainol Samah. The event occurred at 2:56 in the morning.
A 37-year-old police officer from the Durian Tunggal police station was driving the police car when it arrived at the scene in response to complaints from the public regarding noise disruptions and unlawful racing nearby. In a statement released on Thursday, the deputy commissioner stated, "To warn the group of motorcyclists, the officer turned on the headlights and siren."
"Upon seeing that the police had arrived, the motorcyclists fled the scene with their bikes."
According to DCP Zainol, the teengar was sent to Melaka Hospital, where in the early morning, while undergoing treatment at the hospital's intensive care unit, he unfortunately passed.
He added that the case is now being investigated for careless driving that resulted in death under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
