A 10-year-old boy has alleged that he was slapped and punched by a teacher at his school in Johor Bahru, resulting in bruises on his face.
The incident was reported to the operations manager of the daycare centre the boy attends, who revealed that the assault allegedly occurred at a national school. According to the operations manager, the teacher's actions followed a disagreement between the boy and another student in the school's computer lab.
"The boy was slapped and punched on his right cheek by a male teacher, causing him pain and bruising," the operations manager said. "I feel it is inappropriate for a teacher to act like that towards school students."
According to Berita Harian, a police report was lodged at the Larkin Police Station on December 5 to address the matter.
Authorities are expected to investigate the allegations to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. This case has raised concerns about teacher-student interactions and the importance of maintaining professional conduct within educational institutions.
