As Malaysia continues to record high 4 figure cases on the daily with Selangor and Kuala Lumpur in the lead, based on rulings by the Health Ministry and Ministry of Defense, an EMCO throughout both states was declared today.
Starting on the 3rd of July, the EMCO would last for two weeks till the 16th of July 2021.
SOPs include:
1. NO ONE is allowed out of their homes unless it is to get basic home needs 10km from where they live.
2. Mass testing will be done at EMCO affected areas.
3. Dissemination of vaccines in said areas will be increased.
4. Cross district travel for vaccination appointments will be allowed (show MySejahtera/SMS for proof).
5. All public transportation will be allowed to operate at a 50% capacity.
6. Only 2 people are allowed inside an e-hailing vehicle (driver included).
7. No activities or leaving home after 8pm, except for emergency cases with the approval of PDRM.
8. Factories of essential needs will be allowed to operate.
9. Only offices of essential services and governmental bodies, with the approval of the government will be allowed to operate.
10. Other offices MUST adhere to working from home.
11. Only workers with a MITI approved letter will be allowed to go into work.
12. All food premises and services allowed to operate from 8am to 8pm only.
13. Only takeaways and drive-throughs will be allowed, NO dine-ins.
14. Health services like hospitals, clinics and others are allowed to be open.
15. Pharmacies, vets and others allowed to operate from 8am to 8pm only.
16, Petrol stations will be allowed to operate from 6am to 8pm (exception for ones on the highway).
17. Flea markets allowed to operate from 12am to 6am.
18. Markets allowed to operate from 6am to 2pm.
19. Social activities are by in NO means allowed.
All rules stated are to be strictly implemented effective from the 3rd of July to both the states of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
