Based on reports by WHO, the world's population has been said to increase today (November 15th 2022) to 8 billion people.
This would help implement a better healthcare system attainable by many and a sign of longer human lifespan, besides, improvements in public health, nutrition, personal hygiene as well as medicine.
However, birth rates continue to remain below 1% since the year 2020.
It took 12 years for the world's population to move from 7 billion to 8, so the UN predicts an increase to 8.5 billion in 2030 and 9.7 billion in 2050.
Overall growth rate is slow.
