Today, Michelle Yeoh secured her position in the International Olympic Committee in a landslide victory. As her name was called, Yeoh's heartfelt reaction spoke volumes about her dedication. Among the new members elected during the conclusive phase of the 141st IOC session in India, Yeoh's outstanding track record earned her 67 votes, with nine in opposition and one abstention.
During the introduction, Britain's Princess Anne, a member of the IOC's election committee, highlighted Yeoh's roots as a former junior squash champion from Malaysia.
Acknowledging Yeoh's diversified career, Anne remarked, "Although her diverse talents took her away from the world of sports, she has enjoyed a fruitful career and maintained a deep interest in sports throughout."
