A 32-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly exposing himself to a woman in Southville City in Sepang.
Sepang district deputy police chief Superintendent stated that the arrest followed a report lodged by the victim.
According to the woman, the man had called out to her from a red Proton Iriz while she was walking in the Savana area of Southville City.
"When she approached, she saw him exposing his genitals," he said in a statement.
The police then conducted a raid at Kampung Labohan Dagang at 12.15 am, resulting in the suspect's arrest. Authorities also seized a red Proton Iriz believed to be connected to the case.
Investigations revealed that the suspect has no prior criminal record. He is currently remanded for three days as police continue their inquiries.
The incident attracted public attention after Facebook user Nur Iman Safiyyah posted a video and photos detailing her encounter with the man.
She claimed the suspect had called out to her at 5.19 pm on Monday, after her class, and was engaged in inappropriate behavior inside the vehicle, which had its windows down.
She also alleged a prior encounter with the same individual on December 9, during which he reportedly called out to her from the same car.
