For couples with one child, the estimated monthly expenditure is RM5,640, while those without children require a minimum of RM4,360.
Seremban in Negeri Sembilan and Johor Baru in Johor also rank among the most costly cities for raising a family.
A married couple with two children in Seremban would need around RM6,130 per month, while Johor Baru follows closely behind at RM6,100.
Couples with one child would require RM5,400 in Seremban and RM5,360 in Johor Baru. For couples without children, the minimum monthly budgets are RM4,170 and RM4,110, respectively.
In contrast, Alor Setar in Kedah offers respite to families seeking a more affordable lifestyle. It is identified as the cheapest city to raise a family, with estimated minimum monthly spending of RM5,430 for couples with two children.
For couples with one child, the estimated monthly expenditure is RM4,760, and for those without children, it amounts to RM3,680.
