Melaka is a small state that holds so much of the nation's rich heritage and history.

The history starts here, on the shores of the Malaccan Straits and the state still holds numerous verifiable landmarks and destinations that are unquestionably not to be passed up on. While most visitors come to Melaka to appreciate the leading of history, Melaka is too a great put to douse up the sun, lazing on the beach. There are so much of attractions that you can go for. It's best to stay here for a week so you can soak up all the memories in the moment.

Jonker Street

Jonker Street the centre street of Chinatown is one of the most popular visited site in Melaka especially during the weekends. It is basically a night market. This vibrant place boasts of eye-catchy architecture and brilliant lighting. If you are into the whole antic items, Jonker Street would be one of the best place to shop at as it was once renowned for its antique shops. However over the years it has turned into a clothing and crafts outlets as well as restaurants. They sell all kind of stuff from tasty treats to cheap keepsakes.

This may be random but there is a branch of H&M at the near end of Jonker Street. If you wanna take a break from the heat of Jonker Street, away from the crowd, go to H&M and take a little advantage of the cooling feeling while having the pleasure to shop.

In advantages of no trees around as an obstructions, the beach is looking well spread which is most popular with kite enthusiasts. This I where people start coming in with wonderful designed kites. Malacca River Trip

Almost every attraction place has a river cruise for a good reason. It’s a nice way to explore the city. Town began to build up and began with the Melaka River and has played a huge key role in the history of Melaka. Taking a river cruise is to be described as seeing the state from the back door.

In the recent years Melaka river faced a major facelift. Nevertheless the effort to preserve many of the historic building has been tremendous and well appreciated. No disappointments showed as the newer buildings are painted with colourful murals showing the different features of Melaka’s rich history and culture.

With said, the best time to take a river cruise is around when the sun sets. It gives you 2 perspective of Melaka as when the sun is setting its still bright but on the way back you get to see Melaka when there is no light in the sky but is beautifully lit by the buildings you saw.
