Who knew that food from cartoons can be so enticing? Thanks to the creative minds behind Disney, we've drooled over countless food featured in their iconic movies such as the congee from Mulan.
Perfect for a chilly day, you can never go wrong with a hearty bowl of hot congee! So, here's a simple congee recipe for you to indulge to your heart's desire.

Ingredients Needed:
1 cup of rinsed rice
2 cups of chicken stock or bouillon
6 cups of water
¼ ginger, peeled and cut in half
½ teaspoons of salt
½ teaspoon of sesame oil
1 beef strip
2 eggs
Steps:
1. Add water, ginger and chicken stock into a large pot. Bring to a boil.
2. Add rice and boil for an additional 2 minutes.
3. Stir the rice then cover with a lid and let simmer on a medium-low heat. Stir occasionally until thickened for about 35-45 minutes.
4. Turn off the heat and remove ginger once rice has thickened.
5. Mix salt and sesame oil until well combined.
6. Pour the congee into a bowl and set aside.
7. In a separate pan, cook the beef strip over medium heat until crisp. Place it on top of the congee, forming the mouth.
8. Then, add a tablespoon of cooking oil and cook the eggs sunny side up over low heat. Place on top of the congee for the eyes.
