Artist CoCo Lee's sudden passing on the evening of the 5th has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Earlier, her family revealed on Facebook that she "tragically took her own life at home on July 2nd. Despite the efforts of the medical team to save and treat her after being rushed to the hospital in a coma, she ultimately passed away on July 5th."

To all the beloved fans and friends who cherish CoCo Lee: With extreme sadness, we share with you heartbreaking news. Several years ago, CoCo, unfortunately, suffered from depression. Despite her long and valiant battle against the illness, her condition took a sharp decline recently. On July 2nd, she took her own life at home and remained in a coma after being admitted to the hospital. Despite the relentless efforts of the medical team to rescue and treat her, she ultimately passed away on July 5th. 

The year 2023 was supposed to mark CoCo's 30th anniversary in the music industry. Over the past 29 years, she not only brought us endless joy and surprises through her powerful singing and energetic performances but also worked tirelessly to open up new horizons for Chinese singers on the international stage. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to shining a light for the Chinese community, and we are proud of her. As CoCo's family, we are deeply grateful and honoured to have had such an outstanding and exceptional sister. 

We are thankful to the heavens for blessing us with such a kind-hearted angel. We hope that she has found a happier place now, free from the suffering of depression. We believe that the heavens will surely give her the best arrangement! Our greatest responsibility now is to take good care of our elderly mother. We kindly ask everyone to pray for her and also give us time and personal space to heal!
