Little did anyone anticipate that the wedding day would turn into a day of mourning. The groom, Chaturong Suksuk identified as a Paralympian and former paramilitary ranger, not only took his own life but also shot his bride, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and two guests.
Despite his past achievements, witnesses noted his unhappiness during the wedding party.
He left briefly but returned with a 9mm pistol, initiating a brutal massacre. All victims lost their lives on the spot except for another guest who got caught in the crossfire and was injured badly.
Authorities are currently investigating the motive, with preliminary reports suggesting that the tragedy stemmed from a party argument fueled by the groom's insecurities about his disabilities and fear of his bride leaving him.
Our hearts go to their family and friends.
