A tanker truck transporting palm oil overturned on the Karak Highway early Wednesday morning, following a brake malfunction that caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The incident occurred around 3:00 AM at the 28-kilometer mark of the highway, according to Gombak OCPD Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir. The 41-year-old driver was traveling from Kelantan to Port Klang when the accident took place.

Dashcam footage captured the dramatic moment when the tanker swerved and tipped onto its side. Despite the severity of the crash, authorities reported no injuries or casualties in the incident.
The accident highlights the ongoing concerns about heavy vehicle safety on Malaysia's major highways, particularly during early morning hours when visibility can be limited. The Karak Highway, which connects Kuala Lumpur to the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, has historically been known for its challenging driving conditions, especially for large vehicles navigating its winding sections.
