Many students are finally allowed to return home recently after they were stuck in their respective schools for weeks. And as Hari Raya is just around the corner, many young Muslim students are surely excited to go home.
However, the Health Ministry yesterday (May 14) expressed its concern over this.
It is said that the majority of young religious school students who tested positive for COVID-19 were asymptomatic. Health DG Noor Hisham Abdullah said there is a possibility that they might infect the elderly at homes if they had close contact with them.

He therefore urged the students who have not gone home to remain at their schools.
He also advised those who are returning home to avoid visiting others during Hari Raya, reminding them that preventive measures should be taken even among family members in order to break the chain of COVID-19.
As for those who have returned home, Noor Hisham said they should avoid group gathering, wash hands regularly and wear a face mask whenever possible.
