A policeman of the Selangor police contingent headquarters was captured on CCTV, assaulting a woman in a lift. The reason: Failure to find him a bride. I wonder why!
The crime happened at the victim's workplace in Jalan Chan Sow Lin, Cheras last Tuesday. Watch the video here.
The 35-year-old suspect was seen walking into the lift with the victim. He then, threw some punches and a kick before pulling her out of the lift by the hair.
The 34-year old matchmaker was paid RM2,500 by the suspect to find him a partner on an online matchmaking website. However, the suspect became furious after no match was met six months later.
The victim suffered head injuries due to the attack and was treated at the Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital, Cheras. The corporal detective/assailant has since been transferred to administrative duties, according to Selangor police chief.
Case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code.
