A daring heist took place yesterday afternoon in Mersing when two masked criminals broke into a home in Sabah Oskil Garden at 5:14 PM.
CCTV footage shows the robbers arriving by automobile, attempting to force open the front door before entering through a side door to retrieve the keys.
Two male relatives of the homeowner arrived and confronted the burglars. What followed was a heated confrontation reminiscent of those seen in movies.
There were broken glass and bloodstains on the ground in front of the homeowner's front door.
Both male relatives were hurt, and the robber rushed into the car, forced his way out the door, and escaped, dropping the machete he used to perpetrate the crime in a panic.
The two thieves dropped their machete in panic.
One of the homeowner's male cousins was later admitted to a private specialist hospital and is presently being monitored.
When approached, Muar police acknowledged the case and stated that they are currently investigating and are unable to provide any specifics.
