A tragic incident unfolded at a school in Serdang on Wednesday when a Year Six male student was found dead, believed to have been electrocuted.
According to Serdang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner A. A. Anbalagan, the police received a report about the incident at approximately 6:30 PM.
In a statement on Thursday, he said, "The complainant, a 36-year-old local woman, lodged a report stating that her team had received a patient, a 12-year-old boy, who was unconscious. The victim is believed to have been electrocuted at a school in the Serdang area before being pronounced dead at around 6:50 PM."
According to Sinar Harian, authorities confirmed that an investigation into the matter is ongoing, with the police awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death.
"This case is classified as sudden death (SDR)," Anbalagan said, emphasizing the need for caution.
He urged the public to refrain from making any speculations or comments that could disrupt the investigation.
