A recent video shared on the Abah Tok Facebook page has gone viral for highlighting an interesting situation on a congested highway. The video captured a long line of vehicles stuck in traffic, slowly moving along the packed road.

What caught the attention of many viewers was the footage from the driver's side mirror, which showed several vehicles behind using the emergency lane,  a common but illegal practice on Malaysian highways. However, two motorcyclists were also seen riding in the same lane, moving at a slow pace while chatting with each other.

Their presence appeared to be intentional, as they were seemingly blocking the emergency lane to prevent irresponsible drivers from misusing it. As a result, the vehicles behind them were forced to slow down, unable to speed through the lane meant strictly for emergencies.

The video quickly sparked discussions online, with many netizens praising the motorcyclists for taking a stand against reckless behavior. Several commenters viewed their actions as a valuable lesson for those who tend to flout road rules without consideration for others.

However, not everyone agreed. Some raised concerns about the potential consequences if a genuine emergency occurred. They questioned what would happen if an ambulance or a driver facing a real crisis needed to use the emergency lane but was obstructed.

In response to this concern, a few users suggested practical solutions. They recommended that drivers who are experiencing an actual emergency should turn on their hazard lights and wave their hands out of the window to alert others on the road.

While the debate continues, the video has certainly struck a chord with Malaysians, bringing attention once again to the importance of responsible driving and the appropriate use of emergency lanes.
