The '80s were undeniably the IT era for haute couture. Back then, renowned fashion houses like Versace and Chanel illustrated the concept of risqué and vibrance on both their iconic creations and fashion shows. The runways were elevated, and illuminated with flashbubs from fashion photographers as they captured the essence of romance and glamour via the garment paraded.
Fast forward to 2021, the French fashion house, Chanel, has once again reimagined its '80s aesthetics via the Spring-Summer 2022 collection.
A bevy of vibrantly-colored suits in the dreamiest pastel tones, swimsuits with white trim, button-up tops and even gold waist chains were all a modernized odé to the house's signature silhouettes.
