Inflation has caused goods prices to increase; however, some sellers are using that as an excuse to overcharge their customers. For instance, there was a previous report of RM50 for sotong, and now RM5 for sky juice?!
A user on X.com shared a photo of his bill for a glass of plain water costing RM5. He disclosed that this is happening at a restaurant near Pantai Cenang in Langkawi.

He added to his post, addressing the issue of why Malaysians tend to travel to Hat Yai rather than Langkawi, after noticing that things have been overly priced in local tourist spots.
Fellow netizens replied to his post with mixed reactions. Some agreed with him and gave creative ideas about how the user was charged for plain water at such an expensive rate.
Meanwhile, others questioned the credibility of why the user hid the details of the rest of the bill.
