41 million traffic fines, totaling approximately RM4 billion, have remained unpaid in Malaysia since 1990.

51,128 fines (around RM5.1 million) involve foreign nationals from Singapore, Brunei and Thailand.

S'poreans account for 35,011 fines, amounting to an estimated RM3.5 million, representing over 68% of the total fines issued to foreign nationals.

Bukit Aman Traffic Department will issue notifications to remind offenders to pay their fines.

Efforts will be enhanced to address unpaid fines by foreign nationals, particularly at border crossings.

While discounts for overdue fines are selectively offered based on agency requests, a 50% discount is automatically applied within a month.
