A video recently resurfaced on the internet showing a food delivery rider being harassed and molested by a female customer while delivering an order. Feeling aggrieved by the encounter, the delivery rider promptly contacted the authorities.
According to the report, the incident was said to have taken place in Shenzhen, China, on August 26, 2023. The delivery man, named "Xiao Zhang," initially received inappropriate messages from the female customer.
As he delivered the order to the female customer, she continued to tease him before pushing him against the wall in the corridor and forcibly kissing him. The man was seen struggling and managed to escape shortly after.
The video started gaining traction on social media. Some expressed concerns that even men are no longer safe on the streets alone, while others jokingly claimed they wanted to be delivery guys too. Many also speculated about the desperation of the female customer.
The video became immensely popular, prompting the police to investigate the case.
As it turns out, the video was shot in Hunan, China, and it was actually staged!
The original creator revealed that the video was made for entertainment purposes and expressed regret for not properly attributing it, leading to the misinterpretation and dissemination of false information. The creator also apologized for any unintended impact caused by the oversight.
