The number of new COVID-19 cases in South Korea has dropped to single digit! The country reported 8 new cases today (Apr 19) for the first time in two months since Feb 18!
Reuters reported that of the new cases, 5 were imported from overseas, according to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC).

With only 8 new cases reported, the total number of infection in South Korea now becomes 10,661. The death toll, however, rose to 234.
Anyway, South Korea deserves an applause for its diligent and steady manner in handling the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. Now that they seemed to have successfully contain the virus, let’s hope they can win the battle as soon as possible.
