As we all know, the economy isn’t really in a good place right ow. Many companies have been forced to freeze their recruitment budgets causing fresh grads or people who are desperate for jobs to remain jobless. While this is definitely not a great thing, it is always better for your mental health to look at the bright side.
One of the bright sides of not having a job is that you have time. Time to improve yourself. So instead of lying down in bed watching Netflix and crying about how you don’t have a job, try taking online courses so that you have an advantage later when looking for jobs and won’t have to lie on your resume.
One of the many websites offering free courses is Coursera. But many of you start feeling intimidated the moment you are asked to Start a Free Trial or to make an account with the website that you are missing one small button to click o that will give you access to all their courses for free.
Of course, you won’t be able to get a certificate la, you will have to pay for that, but I think knowledge is power. When you have the knowledge about a certain topic, you will be able to impress your interviewer and even add it to your list of skills on your resume, which will definitely secure you an interview.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get access to free courses on Coursera:
