After the torrential rains over the weekend in Selangor and Klang Valley, reports today state that the death toll has reached a total of 7.
4 of the victims were from Taman Sri Muda in Shah Alam, the area worst-affected by the floods. It had even lost its electricity after some time.
"Two other victims were found in Dengkil, Sepang and another person is still missing," said head of Selangor Fire Department.
He also noted that the missing person is believed to be from Sungai Pinang, Selangor.
The non-stop rains from Friday (17th December) prompted the open of 398 temporary shelters across the country, with 50,566 victims from 14,693 families.
