As more and more of the plant awareness culture is being spread all over social media, people are starting to welcome more and more indoor plants into their household.
So what if you don’t have the greenest of thumbs? Embrace it and instead of looking for complicated plants, opt for they easy ones.
If you don’t really have that much space on the ground or on your shelves, then start taking your plants up into the air by hanging them. Hanging plants that trail downwards have a way of making you home look like a magical woodland escape.
Here are some hanging plants that are the easiest to take care of:
1. Golden Pothos / Devil’s Ivy
How to keep it alive:
+ Place it in a light spot. The paler the leaves, the more light the plant needs.
+ Water when soil dries up. Mist it with a spray, it loves being misted.
+ If tendrils grow too long, just cut them back.
2. Boston Fern
How to keep it alive:
+ Indirect sun is good, but place in a spot that gets morning sun.
+ Water frequently but every day. Just make sure doesn’t try up.
+ Prune when plant looks dullish or has dropped laves.
3. English Ivy
How to keep it alive:
+ It doesn’t need that much light, so can be planted in shady place.
+ It prefers dryer soil, so let soil dry out then water the next day.
+ Give deep prune once a year and lightly prune to shape when needed.
4. String of Hearts
How to keep it alive:
+ It needs light, so place it near a window that gets a lot of sun.
+ Water twice a week, but also make sure the soil has dried out before watering.
+ Make sure to repot if it outgrows its pot, they like space.
5. Morning Glory
How to keep it alive:
+ It likes the sun so put it in a place with more direct sunlight.
+ Water more when the weather is hot, but not too much.
