In a recent FB post that went viral, a local man who is an employee at the Malay radio station Zayan shared his experience of encountering a rather peculiar man while having supper with his family. 

According to his Facebook post, he was at a Mamak shop with his family at around 10:30pm after shopping and buying some school books for his kids. As he was waiting for his food to arrive, he saw an elderly man arranging plates, cups and even the chairs at the shop as if setting the table for a meal. 

He noticed how very detail-oriented the man was as he arranged the chair neatly in a straight line and even corrected the arrangement of the plates, making sure everything was perfectly arranged for his guests. 

Then, the admin who write the post said his food arrived but he noticed the uncle was still alone, so he thought that maybe the uncle was waiting for the arrival of his friends or staff who are looking for the shop. As he continued to eat, he signalled his wife about the uncle and she said she noticed him earlier. 

They weren't the only ones who found the situation peculiar as many others too were looking at the uncle with confusion. 

The uncle prepared 8 plates of food and 8 cups of iced tea for an empty table. 

Curious, the admin said he then asked the employee at the shop about the uncle and he was told the most heartbreaking story of all time. 

According to the employee, the uncle is a regular at the shop and always orders 8 meals and arranges them neatly as if he was eating with his family. It is still undetermined if his family is still alive or if they had passed but this was his routine 2 to 3 days a week. According to the employee, the uncle would order the same number of meals but different dishes, pay in full and even pack the extra food to take home. 

The admin of the page even pointed out that he saw this uncle talking to the empty seat next to him as he ate his meal. After finishing his email, he ate the meal of the 'person' next to him. When a woman who walked by accidentally banged into one of the chairs, the man immediately got up and put it back in position calmly. He wasn't angry, according to the admin. 

Not only did the admin's wife and kids get really emotional and even shed a tear after seeing and hearing the uncle's story but so did we and all the netizens who read it too.
