Malaysian singer Azline Ariffin said in 2021 upon marrying her husband Mohd Hafizam, that she would find him a second wife, and last March, she made good on her word!

Based on reports last March Mohd Hafizam married his second wife (a 26yo doctor).

“After I issued a statement to find a co-wife for my husband, I couldn’t find a suitable candidate.

“He eventually found someone for himself and I think it’s good because she suits his taste”, said Azline.

Her reason for this decision, was so that she could spend more time focusing on her career.

“I am a busy person and going on long trips makes me feel uneasy and restless.

“At the very least, there is someone else to take care of things and I can focus on my work”, she added.

The ladies were introduced to each other in a ‘get to know session’ before the wedding commenced

“I had a condition for him and that was to not interfere with my activities on social media because it’s a platform for business”, she said.

Hafizam initially ‘rotated’ between his wives every three days, but as Azline lives in KL and his second wife in Perlis, meeting up weekly worked better.

“A religious leader said women can easily enter heaven by being obedient wives. That’s why I made the decision”, she explained, while acknowledging that this arrangement is not for everyone.

“If the wife cannot accept it, don’t do it as it will affect both women and children negatively”, she advised.

Azline was previously married to her former manager for 6y before they called it quits in 2017. 

Hafizam is also a divorcee of two times, and has 3 kids from his first marriage.
