An undisclosed 37-year-old youth leader of a certain political party has been accused of s*xually assaulting at least six minors over the past seven years. The victims include underage students, and the perpetrator allegedly used nude photos and videos to threaten them as tools for his release. After receiving reports from six victims, the police arrested the suspect yesterday.
According to police reports, the first victim, a 15-year-old boy, informed his parents on the previous night around 10 p.m. that he had been s*xually assaulted by the suspect in October of last year. The suspect later called him and demanded a meeting, but the victim refused out of fear.
It is reported that upon learning that a friend had also reported a similar incident to the police, the victim truthfully informed his mother and revealed that several other friends were also victims, some with recorded evidence, although they had not filed reports.
The second victim, a 16-year-old boy, claimed that he was raped by the suspect at the latter's residence in February of this year. He further disclosed that the abuse had started when he was 11 years old but refrained from telling anyone due to fear of the suspect's retaliation.
In the early hours of the previous day, the third victim, a 21-year-old male, and the fourth victim, another 21-year-old male, confessed to their fathers that they had been s*xually assaulted by the suspect from the ages of 14 to 17. They were forced to kiss and perform oral seggs on the suspect.
The suspect subsequently threatened the victims, warning them that any disclosure of the incidents would result in the dissemination of incriminating photos and videos.
The suspect holds the position of district youth leader in a certain political party in Port Klang and is also the chairman of a primary school's parent-teacher association.
Following the victim's reports, the police arrested the suspect at his residence in Port Klang around 3:01 a.m. yesterday and detained him for further investigation.
Earlier this month, the suspect was already in custody for another rape case. However, he was arrested again yesterday due to additional victims coming forward.
The police emphasize that given the suspect's active interactions with students and minors, more victims may come forward.
All victims have been instructed to undergo medical examinations at Port Klang Hospital.
Port Klang Police District Chief, Superintendent Abdullah, stated that the arrested suspect will be charged in the Klang Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Abdullah further explained that the police are currently investigating the case under Section 377C of the Penal Code (pertaining to unnatural s*xual acts), which carries a minimum sentence of 5 years imprisonment or a maximum of 20 years imprisonment and whipping upon conviction.
He urged anyone with information or leads to report to the nearest police station or call the Johor Police hotline at 07-221 2999 to provide relevant details.
