ICYMI: WATCH: 47-Year-Old Man Confirmed Dead While Another Suffers Injuries After Tree Collapsed At Sultan Ismail Road That Affected 17 Cars

A wealthy businesswoman chose to end her life because of cancer. She left a will before her death and decided to leave her entire life inheritance to Kakak, the cleaner who had been with her for 17 years.

Thaiger reported that Catherine, a 59-year-old wealthy French businesswoman, suspected that she could not bear the torture of cancer while doing business in Thailand, and committed suicide next to the swimming pool of a villa in Koh Samui, Thailand, at the end of April 2024.

Before leaving, Catherine sent a message to her loyal maid Tim, whom she had known for 17 years , asking her to help with the funeral arrangements. Later, Tim found Catherine's last words in the safe and decided to leave her an inheritance worth 100 million baht (approximately RM12.9 million), which included villas, adjacent land, luxury cars, jewellery and a bank deposit.

It is reported that Catherine started out in the house rental business and later expanded to building resorts and villas. Tim was first introduced to Catherine's company through a friend and has been working there for 17 years.

The day before the incident was Tim's birthday, Tim was cleaning as usual, and Catherine wished her a happy birthday.

Early the next morning, Tim suddenly learned from another employee that someone found Catherine dead by the swimming pool, and there was a gun next to the body. The camera lens of the surveillance camera was adjusted to another direction, and he immediately called the police.

According to the investigation, Catherine had disclosed to Tim her pain in fighting cancer, so it is suspected that she may have made the decision to distribute the inheritance out of this motive. The will shows that Catherine gave Tim an inheritance of 100 million baht (approximately RM12.9 million) and asked her to help take care of three beloved cats. In addition, Catherine also left two other villas to her ex-husband.

Tim admitted that he was overwhelmed by Catherine's generosity and vowed to keep her in his heart and use the 500,000 baht (approximately MYR 60,000) she gave to handle the funeral.

Tim also said that she has not yet decided what to do with the villa, but she will definitely not sell it, nor the luxury car that Catherine left her.

According to the Thai police investigation, Catherine's motivation may be related to fighting cancer, because she revealed to Tim that she was in pain before her death; in addition, according to the CCTV footage in the villa, Catherine used a Laptop to write a will and then used a mop to adjust the monitor camera direction, and was then found dead.

If it were you, would you be willing to leave your inheritance to your Kakak Cleaner?
