KULIM: A man died in front of his house after coming home from cycling at Taman Mutiara, Sungai Kob, here, this morning.
In the incident at about 7.10 am, the 52-year-old victim who had just returned from cycling did some light exercise before suddenly falling and fainting.
Several family members of the victim tried to provide emergency breathing assistance (CPR) before they called an ambulance.
Kulim District Police Chief, Superintendent Sazalee Adam, said as soon as the hospital staff arrived, they found the victim dead.
“Investigations found, the victim had a history of diabetes and high blood pressure and he had received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine before.
"Further examination found that the victim had previously been infected with the virus on Aug 28 and recovered after undergoing quarantine for 14 days," he said.
He said so far, the investigation found that no criminal element had taken place and the case was classified as sudden death.
"The body was sent to the hospital for an autopsy to identify the cause of death," he said.
