Malaysians are predicted to face a dismaying hike in property prices that will likely continue to rise while their income remains stagnant, a finding by Khazanah Research Institute concludes.
That is based on a study by various local real estate firms on the future of housing costs across the country. According to its Director of Research, Dr. Suraya Ismail, house prices are expected to continue to increase even though the wages of most laborers in Malaysia remain somewhat the same.
"Indeed, we have discovered that house prices, even at the current moment, have experienced a sharp hike basically risen in comparison to the salaries of most workers that have yet to increase in recent years," he said.
The lack of affordable housing in Malaysia as well abandonment of unsold housing property crisis makes the situation far worse.
Oh well, we're screwed.
