The man, who is actually a PC Builder, attributes his frequent encounters with law enforcement to his appearance, which he admits resembles that of a nonchalant youth. However, he emphasizes that being questioned does not imply guilt and assures others that police officers are simply performing their routine duties.

Among the tips shared, maintaining a cooperative and respectful demeanour while answering questions is key. Responding honestly and avoiding suspicious behaviour can help ensure a smooth interaction with the authorities.

During questioning, officers typically inquire about your residence, destination, and related topics before checking identification cards. Male individuals may expect additional scrutiny of their pockets for any contraband items. He suggests that if one is carrying a bag, it is best to willingly present it to the officers, as long as there are no illicit items concealed within. Cooperation and transparency, coupled with a clear conscience, are touted as the keys to navigating such encounters.

Regarding mobile phones, he highlights that regular officers do not have the authority to confiscate or search devices without a valid warrant. Higher-ranking officials may access phones without a warrant, but they must provide a justifiable reason. Individuals are advised to inform officers about personal information stored on their devices and propose alternative means of cooperation.

He further underscores that maintaining a polite and formal tone during conversations with police officers is crucial. Using proper honorifics such as "Tuan" or "Pihak Polis" (Sir or Police) and communicating in Malay, the national language, are seen as signs of respect and cooperation. Those who are not fluent in Malay or English are advised to inform the officers of their language limitations at the outset.

It is essential to recognize that police officers are primarily interested in ensuring public safety and investigating potentially illegal activities, such as gambling or the possession of prohibited materials (including sex clips).
