Langkawi is renowned for its stunning beaches, caves, and captivating fire performances that often grace the beachside bars. However, a local doctor who recently vacationed in Langkawi felt compelled to caution others on social media about the potential dangers of these fire performances, which left her with serious burns.
In a video she shared, the scene unfolds at the bar where she was seated. She expressed being seated in the second row, failing to realise that these fire performers typically move around the crowd during their acts. Unfortunately, her sense of safety was short-lived when one of the performers accidentally dropped a flaming baton on her.
Initially stunned, she soon realized that she had sustained burns and hurried to the restroom, where she treated the injury with running water for a duration of 20 minutes. Her medical background enabled her to administer first aid to herself.
In her caption, she emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe distance while enjoying fire performances. She also urged families with children to explore the numerous other attractions Langkawi has to offer, concluding with a warning: "Avoid at all costs," while tagging the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.
