Have you been wondering why all your fav artists are skipping Malaysia when they do their tours?
Well the Malaysian government may have just given you your answer!
Based on Astro Awani, the Communication Ministry has outrightedly said that they did not prepare a special fund for exclusive rights to hold international concerts here in Malaysia.
But Minister Fahmi Fadzil said that he plays a role in faciliating the process of applying for the organizing of concerts under PUSPAL.
“Most of these events involve private companies signing contracts to bring in exclusive rights for the organization of the event”, he said.
He notes that if that process is simplified, it would be more appealing to organizers.
“At this time, we’ve received complaints about the long process for verification and approval. So I will look into the ministry’s jurisdiction to see how we can reduce that time period”, he added.
