Apparently the python has a rather pudgy and “compact-sized” (dare we say) cousin, and it’s called Ular Ripong!
Unlike the former, sighting the species is quite rare in Malaysia, so it’s no surprise we couldn’t contain our excitement after seeing this woman’s video.
According to Tracey who’s based in Keningau, she happened to come across one whilst en route to the school she teaches.
She had mistaken the snake as an oversized leech at first, but quickly realised what it was upon seeing its scales.
Many viewers have called the reptile adorable due to its figure, and we agree!
