In relation to this, Perlis Police Chief, Datuk Surina Saad has therefore stated that the police will not hesitate to take stern action against those groups or individuals who are a part of the anti-vaccine movement, otherwise known as anti-vaxxers.

According to her, the acts of sedition can be acted upon according to Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code for committing public treason with the intention of causing fear to the public apart from being able to take action under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 causing unnecessary fear to the public.
