UPDATE: Jocelyn Calls Out Imposter And Asks People To Report Him
Unable to tolerate the constant stream of controversies caused by Jocelyn Chia, the Singaporean-born comedian has been disowned by her own family.
In a recent tweet on Twitter, Anthony Chia Whye Liang announced that he and his wife, Shirley, no longer recognize Jocelyn as their child until their last breath.
"Her actions show that I have failed to raise her to be a better person for society.
"Society deserves better than this," he said.
According to Anthony's previous tweet, the father was proud of his daughter and frequently shared his daughter's tweets on his Twitter account.
However, some users on Twitter questioned the credibility of such an account and claimed that this could be a fake account.
Just last Sunday, seemingly undeterred, Jocelyn once again stirred up controversy by mocking Malaysia's response to the uncouth behaviour of the music group, The 1975, during their GVF performance in Sepang, Selangor.
In a tweet, the woman sarcastically welcomed the band's vocalist, Matty Healy, being blacklisted by the Malaysian government and also questioned why Malaysia had not directed the International Police (Interpol) to arrest the group.
Previously, Jocelyn sparked controversy after making jokes about the loss of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 during a comedy performance titled 'Singapore vs Malaysia' in New York, United States, last June.
Her actions were criticized by various parties, including Malaysians and Singaporeans, for being insensitive to the feelings of the victims' families who are still grieving over the tragedy.
