Via instagram, a foreign content creator talks about what is petai, and then shows her viewers a new recipe. Instead of the normal sambal petai we Malaysians enjoy, she tries her vegan version of having it with ginger and pumpkin soup.
Known for her plant-based recipes under her IG handle @simplegreensoul, she pairs it with pumpkin soup and bread. Netizens gave out various reactions.
Many Malaysian netizens said they would prefer sticking to their traditional yummy sambals, while listing out their usual ingredients.
There were also a few comments from Indonesians too, who were shaken by her new recipe. Some however did praise her efforts and noted that they too would be open to trying out the recipe.
