During durian season, fruit stalls are often filled with durians, and fans of the fruit usually can't resist buying a few. However, durians aren't cheap, and not everyone can afford them.
Recently, an elderly mute man in Malaysia begged a durian stall for the cheapest durian for his child. Unexpectedly, the stalls employees gave him a whole basket of Red Prawn durians. After the story was exposed, netizens were deeply moved.
According to mStar, this event occurred in Balok, Kuantan, Pahang.
Rizal, the owner of the durian stall and Mr Patin House restaurant, said that on the night of the incident, a man around 70 years old came to their stall just before closing time.
The elderly man called one of the employees, smiled, and shook hands, then handed over a note explaining his request. The note read: Uncle wants to beg for a durian. Uncle's child wants to eat it, but Uncle has no money. Thank you.
Rizal said:
"My employee read the note and immediately went to get a whole basket of durians for the elderly man."
He also revealed that the elderly man showed his OKU card (a special needs identification card) to avoid being mistaken for fraud.
Rizal expressed his satisfaction with the employee's prompt and generous action:
"Thank God, my employee didnt ask me and just gave him the durians."
Seeing the elderly man tear up from receiving so many durians was very touching for everyone.
There were 5-6 durians in the basket, and while he asked for the cheapest one, we let him try the better quality Red Prawn durians.
Netizens were moved by the story and praised the durian stall for their kindness towards the needy.
- Thank you, kind-hearted person. May you and your family be well.
- Uncle is a great father, but the giver is even greater. Hope both are happy.
- Good people will be rewarded.
Human kindness is truly heartwarming! Surely the elderly man and his child felt especially delighted eating those durians.
