M‘sian Students Win Gold For Their Drone Invention In Seoul, Defeating 1K++ Other Worldwide Participants!
Four Malaysian students from
Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) have successfully put Malaysia’s name on the map when they‘ve won a gold medal at the 2021’s
World Invention Creativity Olympics (WICO) for the creation of their drone; specifically the
Hybrid Vertically Take-Off and
Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. The students involved in the competition are:
• Iqbal Hakimi Mohammad Feirdaus
• Nurul Khalida Kasim
• Aqil Haikal Jalalus Sayuti
• Muhammad Haziq Mohd Hamizat
These students represented the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKM), Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology and Communication who are also supervised by two senior FKM lecturers. The WICO aims to provide a platform for the construction of synergies through communication among students from around the world, making it such a prestigious programme.
This brilliant group defeated more than a thousand participants coming from 20 countries! Talk about talent.
