A man from New Delhi, India received worldwide praise for rescuing an injured monkey by giving continuous chest compressions and providing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, the Daily Star reported.
The video, which was recorded by villagers, shows the monkey initially lying unconscious on the ground. It was at that moment that a man known as M Prabhu decided to come forward to save the poor animal.
The eight-month-old monkey was allegedly attacked by a group of wild canines in an incident in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu on December 9th.
After attempting to rescue him for a few minutes, the monkey finally regained consciousness and started to breathe again. "We were on the Perambalur-Ariyalur road when the situation worsened. I was worried about his condition and decided to take him to a veterinary hospital after the monkey did not want to drink water," recalled Prabhu.

''I was lucky to be there on time and save the monkey,'' he said. The monkey is reportedly in a stable condition and recovering.
We need more people like Prabhu for sure!
