The Social Welfare Department (JKM) released on its Facebook page on April 1, a new guideline regarding NGO's activity to provide food aid to the needy.
The guideline includes:
1. The NGO must be a non-profit organization
2. The NGO must register with a nearby State Social Welfare Department (JKMN) or District Social Welfare Office (PKMD) one day before the aid distribution
3. The NGO must follow Act 342 and the National Security Council (MKN)'s instructions, including having their members check temperatures, wear face masks and gloves, bring along hand sanitizers and practice social distancing.
4. The NGO will be accompanied by The People's Volunteer Corps (RELA) or Malaysia Civil Defense Force (APM) personnel.
