Jelutong Market In Penang Ordered To Close Immediately Over New Covid-19 Cases

Four traders from the Jelutong Wet Market in Penang have tested positive for Cocid-19 cases, and thus will remain closed until further notice.

As of right now, the state's health departments are in the midst of detecting close contacts and those in question will be asked for testing in the next few days. Penang Island City Council (MBPP) mayor Datuk Yew Tung Seang informed the public that the market's closure involves 60 stalls inside the market and 218 stalls outside the market, along Jalan Penaga and Lorong Ipoh.
