"No Need to Continue Fueling Anger": King Warns Against Exploiting 'KK Mart's Allah on Socks' Controversy

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, has issued a royal decree urging all parties to cease exploiting or sensationalizing the issue of socks bearing the word "Allah." The matter has now entered legal proceedings.

"I have instructed that action be taken in accordance with the law, so there is no need for any party to continue to fueling anger," His Majesty stated in his recent Facebook post.


"The action taken is not solely to punish, but also serves as a lesson and reminder to all to uphold the sensitivities of Malaysians,"


His Majesty emphasized that it is in the best interest of all sectors of society to draw lessons from this incident and work towards bolstering unity.


"Persistent anger brings no benefit. All parties, especially community leaders, must act with maturity."


"Let us guide the people towards unity, not division," said His Majesty, adding that this controversy should serve as an opportunity for the diverse society to achieve better mutual understanding and to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
